A fair amount has happened in the last three months that I have yet to blog on. I keep meaning to update things and then something pops up. So here is a short re-cap of life for the past three months and then we'll keep moving forward. Hopefully I won't be as scared to update the blog for fear of all that I have forgotten to record. This is a work in progress...
We traveled to Hawaii in early October. We spent 4 days on Oahu playing on Waikiki Beach and visiting BYU-Hawaii, the Polynesian Cultural Center and Pearl Harbor. We spent another week on Kauai snorkeling, playing on the beach, relaxing and visiting the Napali Coast and Waimea Canyon. What a wonderful trip we had, so nice and relaxing. Just in time for us to come home and move. :)

We returned from our travels on Adam's 3rd Birthday. He was such a trooper, understanding that Mom and Dad had been awake all night on our red eye flight back to the mainland. He was excited to receive his very first bike. Here he is taking it for a spin - he is still learning to coordinate pedaling and steering at the same time. He is a real joy to be around and is the excitement in our lives as he challenges us each day. I am told several time a week, by complete strangers, "I don't ever remember having that much energy." He loves to stay in his PJ's, eat pears and read books.

We arrived in Louisiana late in October and settled in quickly. We moved into a house just a few days after getting here, which was a huge blessing. Jared was able to help get everything settled and even pictures hung on the walls - since the base was going through an inspection none of the offices were open for in-processing.

Jared started his training on the B-52 in late November. He is enjoying the training for the most part and is excited to start flying again. We made it to the Louisiana State Fair, just a week after moving in. Adam and Jared went for a ride on an elephant. I have such fond memories of the fair, from when I was little, I hope he enjoyed it just as much as we did!
We spent a few short days in Houston with some of Jared's family for Thanksgiving. The drive was quite short only 4 and 1/2 hours to their house. It is so nice to live so close to family, I think I had forgotten the huge benefit of that, being a lot further away from family for a while now. Syd and I had fun with some black Friday shopping the day after thanksgiving and Adam and his cousins playing the whole time. He asks me everyday when we will be going back for Christmas.
Jared has been in training almost a month now, we have gotten used to having him back in training. He had a break in training for almost six months, funny how you get used to them being around all the time. :) I have one month left until the baby is due and couldn't be more ready. Here is an updated picture. I never think to ask Jared to take one while he is around, so I always end up using our web cam, thus the poor quality.
